FHI 360 is seeking qualified candidates for the Director of Finance and Administration position for an anticipated multi-sectoral nutrition activity in Tanzania. The USAID Tanzania Regional Multi-sectoral Nutrition Activity is part of the U.S. Government's (USG) Global Food Security Strategy (GFSS) 2022-2026, which promotes global food security, resilience, and nutrition and the USAID global health initiative to prevent maternal and child deaths. The purpose of this activity is to strengthen the health and food market systems that promote adoption of optimal nutrition-related behaviors across a range of stakeholders in targeted regions. This purpose will be achieved by a) increasing the coverage of quality nutrition services at health facilities and community; b) improving consumption of safe, nutritious foods; and c) increasing capacity of councils to utilize data, plan, budget, and deliver quality nutrition services.


This will be a full-time position based in Tanzania for a duration of five years. Tanzanian nationals are strongly encouraged to apply. Availability of the position is contingent upon successful award of the activity to FHI 360.

Job Summary: Provides in-country leadership for the program budget, financial reporting, compliance, and administrative operations of the project. Oversees the activities of the program finance and accounting staff. Conducts continual analysis and reporting to ensure the financial health of the program and correct usage of funds. Develops and manages internal financial audits.

#9. Finance and Administration Director Job at IMA World Health, Dar es Salaam

IMA World Health is seeking a Finance and Administration Director to lead the monitoring of an anticipated USAID-funded Regional Multi-Sectoral Nutrition activity in Tanzania (Njombe, Iringa, Rukwa, Songwe, and Kigoma). The 5-year project with focus on 1) increasing coverage of quality nutrition services at health facilities and within communities; 2) improving consumption of safe, nutritious foods; and 3) increasing capacity of district level councils to utilize data, plan, budget and deliver quality nutrition services.

The Finance and Admin Director will manage financial planning, annual budgeting, and award reporting. S/he will ensure cost-conscious, efficient spending and compliance with all USAID regulations, including financial reporting requirements. The Finance and Admin Director will work with the procurement team for the procurement of equipment and supplies for the project in compliance with all USAID regulations.

S/he will develop and oversee the implementation of policies, procedures, and systems for administration and financial support services, while at the same time ensuring that the project’s support interventions comply with national and international standards, Corus International internal policies and procedures, and USAID financial compliance standards and regulations. In addition, s/he will be responsible for financial management and review of project sub-contractors, and provide oversight of project operations, procurement, and logistics. The position will be based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and will report to Chief of Party. Actual hiring is contingent upon signed agreement and USAID approval.
